Offerta

  • Provide independent and autonomous legal advice to all departments of a Italian premium fashion outlet centre, with a focus on lease law & real estate law.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate business lease agreements and commercial lease agreements with tenants/brand stores.
  • Draft, review and advise on other commercial agreements for the centre, including (among others) construction-related contracts, shop fit and project management agreements, facility management and marketing agreements, cooperation agreements, marketing and retail event contracts, and service agreements with external providers.
  • Support Centre Management and Leasing Teams in lease negotiations and operational legal matters.
  • Coordinate with internal departments (Leasing, Retail, Operations, Marketing, Finance) across all legal matters, acting as a key legal business partner.
  • Prepare contractual documentation and manage internal approval processes in coordination with internal teams and external counsels.
  • Ensure compliance with national and EU legislation, including GDPR and ESG requirements and keep the business informed on relevant legal developments.
  • Manage governance processes across the various departments, including influencing Centre stakeholders and driving alignment through effective communication, and provide regular trainings on Policies & Procedures; Be responsible for record keeping of contracts and key documents related to the outlet.
  • Maintain and manage legal approval forms and a contracts database.
  • Provide legal guidance on topics such as compliance, data protection, and insurance-related matters.
  • Manage legal projects across various areas of law.
  • Manage and coordinate internal and external correspondence, including with Managing Directors and public authorities; support administrative authorisation filings in coordination with the Group legal team and external providers.
  • Manage litigation in coordination with external counsel.
  • Oversee external legal advisors and manage legal budgets.
  • Lead and manage negotiations with external stakeholders, including external legal advisors, notaries, consultants, and other professional counterparties.
  • Act as the primary legal point of contact for external legal advisors, ensuring efficiency, consistency of approach, and alignment with business strategy.
  • Challenge, coordinate, and steer external legal advice to ensure it remains pragmatic, timely, and commercially focused.
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings to provide legal input and support decision-making.
  • Assist with internal reporting requirements.
  • Create and update template contracts, internal guidelines, and standard documentation (ensuring alignment with Group standards).

Competenze ed esperienza

  • Italian Master's degree in law.
  • A minimum of 3 - 5 years of relevant professional experience in real estate and commercial law, preferably gained as a lawyer in a law firm or in-house for real estate or shopping centre owners/management.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial law, real estate law, compliance, and data protection legislation.
  • Native-level fluency in Italian (required where the candidate is not a native Italian lawyer).
  • Excellent command of English (written and spoken).
  • Strong communication skills and a solution-oriented, collaborative mindset.
  • Astute commercial awareness to prevent business risk and quickly find practical legal solutions to business challenges.
  • Ability to analyse carefully, exercise sound judgment and to work independently under time pressures on a wide range of issues in a fast-paced environment.
  • A strong dynamic "can do", mature and flexible approach, and demonstrating a professional, proactive and enthusiastic attitude.
  • Capability to work as part of a pan-European team and in a matrix organisation, this requires the ability to be self-motivated and to have good communication skills.
  • High degree of autonomy, independence, strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence both internal and external parties at senior and operational levels.
  • Ability to participate constructively as a member of a team with the ability to influence and communicate effectively with colleagues and cross-functional teams at all levels of the business.
  • Proven success in building internal and external partnerships, demonstrating the ability to work with people at different levels and from different backgrounds and from different countries.
