The Grid Engineer will contribute to the design, analysis and integration of electrical infrastructure for utility-scale wind projects, supporting grid connection activities and ensuring compliance with technical standards and grid requirements.

A leading international player in the renewable energy sector, active in the development, construction and operation of large-scale wind energy projects, is looking for a Grid Engineer to join its growing technical team.

Offerta

  • Support grid connection activities across all project phases (development, design, construction and commissioning).
  • Perform and/or review power system studies (load flow, short circuit, voltage control, harmonics).
  • Assist in the preparation of grid connection applications and technical documentation for TSOs/DSOs.
  • Contribute to the design and optimization of HV/MV electrical systems, substations and interconnection solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable grid codes, standards and utility requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, project management, EPC) and external consultants.
  • Support troubleshooting and technical analysis during construction and commissioning phases.
  • Maintain and update electrical models and project documentation.
  • Contribute to technical risk assessments and mitigation strategies.

Competenze ed esperienza

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Typically 2-5 years of experience in power systems, grid connection or electrical engineering (renewable energy is a plus).
  • Knowledge of power system fundamentals, grid infrastructure and electrical design.
  • Familiarity with grid codes and technical requirements.
  • Experience with simulation tools such as PSS®E, DIgSILENT PowerFactory, PSCAD or similar is preferred.
  • Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented and international environment.
  • Fluent in English.
