Job Description

For this role we are looking for a senior manager with a strong experience in logistics operations for (over) meeting Customers' and Company targets. He/she will lead the relationship with Customers/Partners/Vendors in order to provide high service level, developing innovation, efficiency and creativity.

This resource will manage:Operations:

  • Lead the operational team in order to keep overview of the actual status of the logistics operations, optimizing the customers' satisfaction;
  • Analyze weekly KPI reports and rolling forecast to monitor the operational performance, identifying and implementing action needed to improve both quality and efficiencies;
  • Execute crisis management to solve complex operational issues in an optimum way and time frame;
  • Lead supporting teams such as HR, Finance, IT, Security/QHSE, Project Managers & Engineering;
  • Together with the supporting teams, create tools or adjust processes to support the operational teams;
  • Cooperate for the management of the RFQ's;
  • Translate business needs into efficient operational processes;
  • Identify and implement potential cost savings in current operations;


  • Manage the relationship with Customers in order to acquire their needs, supporting them to plan & execute services to meet weekly/monthly targets as well as cooperating for strategic projects;
  • Manage the relationship with Partners/Vendors in order to plan & execute activities to meet Customers' weekly/monthly targets as well as the implementation of new products & services and/or improvements;
  • Create an optimum working environment within the team and challenge members to develop themselves, processes & systems/tools;
  • Setup the logistics forecast based on input from Customers' sales divisions and actual logistics cost plan
  • Responsibility for operational P&L: forecast & results;
  • Identify increased revenue possibilities and translate into (commercial) proposal;
  • Act as the central point of contact for various departments;
  • Act as a contact for senior management, to answer escalated customer questions regarding the logistics operations.
  • Follow and implement Company strategy and determine short to mid-term planning & actions needed

For this role, we are looking for a Senior Operations Manager with extensive experience in warehousing & transport processes, people management, P&L responsibility. Besides strong operational skills, our ideal candidate has strong communication and persuasion skills. He/she is a manager with helicopter view and a strong hands-on mentality that is used to work in various teams.

We are looking for an employee with:

  • A Bachelor/Master degree
  • 8-12 years working experience as Operations Manager
  • A proficient level of English
  • Experience with ERP, TMS & WMS systems
  • Excellent MS Office skills;
  • Open to other cultures and social.
  • Strong communication skills and open to other cultures;

Independent, proactive, analytical and able to make things happen
