System Engineer - Pisa

● Design, implement and supporting documentation for networking and virtual computing infrastructures according to project requirements.

● Build, deploy, and manage all open-source server management Platform for enterprise virtualization in accordance with standards and operational requirements, including configuration of hardware, services, storage, container..

● Work closely with the Product Software Development, Technical Office and R&D teams to design and deploy systems in line with the specific project requirements and IT strategy.

● Follow Change Management processes and be responsible for common Infrastructure changes (Networking, VPNs, Firewalls, etc..), including the planning and implementation of updates.

● Collaborate with other teams to ensure appropriate monitoring controls are in place, identify requirements & issue and propose proactive solutions.

● Oversee and design monitoring systems, including Zabbix and Influxdb, to get insights and proactively resolve problems before service disruption.

● Investigate and troubleshoot on system and software configuration and related performance issues

● Automate the provisioning and maintenance of internal IT personal assets

● Research and recommend innovative, and where possible, automated approaches for system administration tasks

● Perform complete life cycle management of compute hardware, including deployment, configuration, refresh, and decommissioning

● Provide engineering support for compute infrastructure; this will include monitoring and troubleshooting compute-related problems

● Extensively partner with business groups and vendors to consult on technical solutions which move the business forward
