Sustaining Mechanical Engineer - Belgium

The Sustaining Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for implementation of development projects with purpose to:

• Sustain existing products.
• Support new products start-up.

In particular the Sustaining Mechanical Engineer will have the following goal:

• Maintains and organizes electronic file system for production drawings and manuals;
• Management of supplier-changes (e.g. labels, packaging);
• Responsible for projects regarding adaptations and/or upgrades of component part design (e.g.
  inlets), gives input to his/her Manager about progress and provisional results, and makes
  proposals/recommendations to adjust the planning if necessary.
• Designs details of parts, components and assemblies, using 3D models and 2D prints;
• Evaluate testing results of parts and components;
• Supports his/her Manager with:
  o the maintaining of of all necessary documents (SKUs, BOM's, drawings, …) related to
  the product, engineering drafting and release standards
  o providing support to regulatory specialists in getting products approvals;
  o the determination of the technical specifications to safeguard the product quality
  acceptance criteria;
  o bringing new ideas for examination and co-operates to further development of our
  technical know how;
  o the follow up of local issues related to products.
