The Firm is a UK-based and regulated, independent, and fast-growing investment fund group specialising in the promotion and management of alternative investment funds in the field of clean energy infrastructure and SMEs private equity. Firm's funds under management or advise are established in Luxembourg and structured according to Luxembourg relevant rules and regulations with an investment focus in Italy.

The Firm is now considering integrating its Finance Team with a skilled professional as senior finance and fund administrator manager with a minimum 4 years of relevant, hands-on experience. The candidate will hierarchically report to the Finance Director but will perform its tasks with a high degree of autonomy.

Job Description

Accounting and administration - manage and support the Senior Staff in accounting processes for a diverse range of funds, general partners, and associated fund structures. In particular, semi-annual (or quarterly) Net asset Value (NAV) calculation and control, including:

  • Coordinate and execute quarterly NAV reporting and financial statements preparation for the funds under management/advise. Oversee fair market valuation of funds' assets;
  • Coordinate the analysis and control of funds' requirements, including financial/cash needs and relevant reconciliation;
  • Liaise with Fund Administrators, Transfer Agents, and Custodians/Depositaries and oversee their output;
  • Maintain accurate records of all fund transactions;
  • Support Fund(s)'s loan administration and capital contribution, calculation and review of management fees and performance fees;
  • Processing and management of incoming and outgoing invoices related to the funds under management/advice;
  • Liaise with Auditors/Work with auditors to execute financial audits;
  • Assist in new fund launch activities for the fund administration aspects;
  • Assist in tax filings and reports, including transfer pricing studies.

Finance - support Top Management in (i) financial planning and control of the Management Company and its affiliates and (ii) financial planning and control of funds under management/advise.

Compliance, regulatory body, legal aspects

  • Compliance and AML monitoring and reporting, for aspects concerning fund administration and cash management;
  • Support in preparing and filings of reports for local regulatory body, if so required, for aspects concerning fund administration and cash management
  • Support the Compliance function in keeping Finance and Administration policies updated and/or improved;
  • Review and provide comments on constitutional and fund formation documents, including subscription agreements.

Investor Relations - support the Senior Staff in addressing queries from investors in relation to funds' financial data and aspects, including generating ad hoc reports for Investors and Top Management.

Competenze ed esperienza

The Successful Applicant

  • Deep understanding and acknowledge of alternative funds structure, mechanics and market context; Familiarity with the Luxembourg private equity funds and holding structures legal framework is a great plus;
  • Numerate and analytical; proven financial modelling ability and understanding;
  • Accurate and methodical, with great attention to quantitative details;
  • Ability to thrive in pressured environments;
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic, organised and deadline-efficient; willing to work extensively and focus on a high-quality output;
  • Team player - ability to liaise effectively with colleagues, service providers and investors;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Language requirements: professionally fluent in English; French: not strictly required but a great plus;
  • Experience: minimum 4/5 years of hands-on relevant experience (fund administration and finance with fund management company), minimum 6/7 years of job experience; Other experience in finance/accounting/auditing is a plus;
  • Location: Milan (Italy).
