A leading French company in the production of bags and accessories is looking for a Product Development Manager - Textiles (Nylon) to join its Purchasing Department. Reporting to the Purchasing Director, you will be responsible for managing the development of textile materials for leather goods collections, working closely with the textile buyer, the Paris design studio, suppliers, quality teams, and the technical office.

Offerta

  • Qualify new suppliers and manage new materials and color developments
  • Oversee the full sampling process: requests, reception, quality control, timing, and technical validation
  • Ensure technical development of materials, including bonding operations and certifications
  • Maintain accurate development data in the PLM Centric system
  • Monitor collection orders and quality risks, ensuring alignment with development timelines and key industrial milestones
  • Produce regular reports and contribute to development KPIs
  • Collaborate with internal teams (technical, quality, procurement) and coordinate supplier interactions
  • Organize supplier visits in Italy and abroad
  • Be updated on trends and technical innovations; attend relevant trade fairs

Competenze ed esperienza

  • Degree in textiles, materials science, or engineering
  • Proven experience in textile material development within a fashion industrial setting
  • Strong attention to detail, autonomy, and excellent communication skills
  • Proficiency in PLM Centric and knowledge of material certifications
  • Fluent in English, with working proficiency in Italian and French
  • Availability for travel
