Job Description

The role, in coordination with the Global Head of Supply Chain and the Regional Supply Chain Managers, is responsible to optimize the global logistic setup, with a particular focus on the European road freight/global sea freight Market, the global WH's network and trade compliance.

The Global logistic Manager, supported by a trading compliance specialist, is accountable for the Global logistics and trade compliance office and aim to optimize the global logistic setup, the cost structure and ensure the congruence between daily operation and trade rules.Primary Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  1. Support the Supply Chain Direction as expert on transport and logistics on global projects aiming to improve continuously the service level provided to the customers,
  2. Responsible for purchasing logistic and transport services, in alignment with the company direction,
  3. Ensure the global harmonization on Logistic processes between all company's legal entities,
  4. Negotiates costs, contracts and agreements between the company and logistic/transport providers and ensures the quality of service provided.
  5. Harmonize, improve and follow up on Global Logistic KPIs,
  6. Globally responsible for the company's warehouse management and transportation policies, including legal and safety requirements and adherence to all company, national and international rules and regulations by the local company entities
  7. Support the legal entities on continuous logistics and transport improvements, in alignment with the company direction,
  8. Aim to reduce global logistic and freight cost,
  9. Support the global Head of Supply Chain to elaborate the global logistic Budget,
  10. Control and breakdown global sea and north European road freight invoices
  11. Contribute to the global transport policy definition,
  12. Carrier relationship management, contracts modification and negotiations,
  13. Accountable for the company trade compliance (LTD and documents release)
  14. Custom Clearance
  15. Global Transport claims management.

Competenze ed esperienza

Education/Qualifications:

  • University degree in business, supply chain or other relevant fields.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in Global Logistic,
  • Accountability on personal activities and targets,
  • Trade compliance understanding,
  • Custom Clearance knowledge,
  • Solid understanding of the Global Transport and Logistic Market
  • Knowledgeable on material import / export in Europe
  • English knowledge required
  • Travelling up to 20% of the time

Desired Requirements:

  • Trained on Hazardous Materials Transportation (IATA, IMO, ADR),
  • A good communicator and negotiator
  • Good interpersonal skills,
