Job Description
- Interpret and analyze client underwriting information to advise reinsurance programs based on risk tolerance level and industry trends.
- Design, price and evaluate reinsurance structures from an actuarial perspective.
- Check client data for reasonability, loads data into predictive models, runs the models and shares output with brokers in support of reinsurance transaction process.
- Perform calculations using specific models with client data to assess a range of risk exposures and predict outcomes for clients.
- Examine alternative forms of risk financing.
- Determine the actuarial appraisal value of an insurance company as part of a merger and acquisition transaction
- Assist in responding to client queries and concerns, resolving issues promptly.
- Update Actuaries on issues, progress, etc., regularly and upon request.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal & external clients
Competenze ed esperienza
- Degree in Statistical and Actuarial Sciences/Mathematics/Engineering
- Qualified or near qualified actuary with at least 3 years of general insurance experience
- Good understanding of the product lines and industry conditions to identify significant considerations that insurers should address in designing their programs
- Proficient in English, both verbal and written
- Excellent communications, presentations and project management skills
- Strong ability to handle significant workflow through efficient time management
- Well-versed in office software
- Technical expertise in reinsurance experience in general insurance area
- Knowledge or R or Python preferred
